Nearly 3 months after my first novel launched, I finally received my first online review.
Up to this point, the only people to comment on my work was family members and people I knew personally. None had left online reviews but had rather shared any grammatical or layout errors they had found in the first copy of text to be uploaded to Amazon KDP.
Opening the KDP reports page a couple weeks back, I saw my first new sale to come across in a few weeks. I had no clue who made this purchase. No one in my circle of acquaintances had mentioned they had purchased a copy.
Perhaps my work was finally getting noticed outside of the group of people who knew I had written and released a novel.
Being a self-publish nobody in the wide world of literature, every sale is something to be proud of. A sale to a complete stranger, a cause for celebration.
To my great surprise, and shock, I received a review from this unknown reader.
I was amazed and overjoyed to see a 5 start review from a complete stranger.Â
Seeing this review, I was now determined to work hard at completing my next novel. Hopefully by the time it is finished, I will have multiple reviews for my first novel, and people looking forward to the release of the next.
